Responsibilities

A salesperson within MARK Business line is someone who is authorized to solicit and to advise clients and prospects but also to commit Societe Generale by selling financial instruments (all MARK products including FX spot) and/or services to clients. For the avoidance of doubt, employees who only provide their expertise to support client requests without soliciting or selling products or services are not considered as Sales (e.g.Research, Engineering).
All staff performing a sales role must have been authorized through a Sales Mandate. They must also sign the Sales Handbook and comply with all rules (including local ones) relevant to their activity and
geographical location.
Sales persons promote SG product offerings or solutions and close transactions with Clients.
Their tasks include but not exclusively :

  • identifying new client interest,
  • preparing Client on-boarding (assessing Client needs, knowing their Clients, collecting documents required to perform the account opening or the credit analysis, supporting the signing of master agreements, getting internal credit limits if required...),
  • explaining SG capabilities and presenting trade ideas to Clients,
  • verifying relevant pretrade regulations,
  • answering price inquiries; executing transactions,
  • supporting post-trade processes (although those are usually primarily owned by other departments, especially Operations),
  • addressing Client claims in conjunction with other departments such as Legal or Compliance and escalate it to the management and COO.

The VIE will support two very specialized FI sales in primarly daily internal operational tasks.
The VIE will be repo trade support (Monitor chats, client RFQ, internal RFQ, internal deal capture and client confo sending).
The VIE will support all operational onboarding task and internal workflow in SCOW and OB.
The VIE will support all bookings and deal capture of EXO trades fx. SPARK.
THE VIE will suport all credit checks and run IFlows both for flow producs and exo. products.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in finance
• A previous experience in data science or programming would be appreciated
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Fluent in English
 
The VIE assignment in a nutshell.
This VIE in Stockholm is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
