What are you applying to?

Société Générale Capital Canada (SGCC) is actively recruiting for an OFAC Transaction Review Analyst for its Montreal office. The position being offered is within the Operations department and is responsible for providing Level 1 review and annotation of all transactions scanned by the FircoSoft Compliance (OFAC) filter. The team works very closely with Compliance to ensure the latest controls and knowledge are shared across the teams.

What will be your day-to-day?

  • Perform Level 1 reviews of OFAC cases generated from source systems
  • Ability to evaluate and annotate potential hits.
  • Perform basic research and investigation to support the Level 1 OFAC review process.
  • Liaise with Compliance on escalation items.
  • Ability to work and communicate in a dynamic and high paced work environment.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines throughout the day.
  • Communicate with internal departments to resolve OFAC related issues/problems.

Profile required

What you bring to our team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or related field), or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience with cash payments, an asset.
  • Experience in working with Fircosoft OFAC application.
  • CAMS certification (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Good inter-personal and partnering skills, a “team-player”.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic, deadline-focused environment.
