Responsibilities

 RISQ/NFR, as the second line of defense, is in charge of:

  • Access to Business Unit (BU) or Service Unit (SU) and understand their operational risk exposure.
  • Provide independent opinion, analysis and expert judgement on operational risk topics including Information, Cyber & Technology Risk to RISQ/NFR management and Senior Management.
  • Provide advice on proposal or decision made by BU/SU related to processes, tools or solutions related to operational risk management.
  • Provide framework to review/ facilitate that risk considerations are taken into account appropriately by BU/SU in major decision making or operational risk norm exceptions management
  • Assess the robustness and sustainability of the operational risk management framework of ASIAPAC

Profile required

  • Basic knowledge of various businesses, operations and regulatory requirements
  • Good problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to raise questions and challenge on operational risk issues in a reasonable and effective manner
  • Knowledge/experience in below area is a plus:

                            i.   ­­­IT infrastructure (network, operating systems, ... etc.)

                           ii.   Application development/support in classical or Agile (DevOps) approach

                          iii.   Cybersecurity

                          iv.   Artificial intelligence and/or data analytics

                          v.   PowerBI, Python, VBA

Department Description:

Within the Risk Division, Operational Risk Department (RISQ/OPE) team is in charge of designing and implementing the Group risk management system, in conjunction with the Business Units (BU) and Service Units (SU). RISQ/OPE, as the second line of defense, is responsible for assessing operational risks and contributes to their management through its three principal duties: Standardizing, challenging and verifying operational risk management framework of the bank.
