            With over 6,000 specialists in over 50 countries, Payments & Cash Management (PCM) is a strategic activity for Société Générale. In our Zurich office, the Payments & Cash Management team delivers and supports transactional banking products and services to Corporate clients:

  • bank accounts management
  • monitoring of domestic and international payment orders
  • set up of e-banking channels for the safe exchange of information between our customers and their bank (payments, reporting)
  • financing arrangements where we provide intraday and overnight facilities
  • domestic and international inter-company cash pooling
  • KYC (Know Your Customer) review


            The PCM Client Service & Implementation Manager is responsible for client service and support as well as implementation of Cash Management Structures. The role requires a strong client service orientation, detailed operational process knowledge, good planning and communication skills as well as professional integrity.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • act as local project manager for Implementation of Cash Management solutions in Switzerland, including contract preparation, account opening, progress meetings, testing of payment files and solutions
  • act as a dedicated first point of contact for our clients regarding all their daily banking requests, i.e., follow up of flows, opening of new accounts, cash pool changes, amendments to Electronic Banking set-ups, issuing of guarantees, in coordination with the Sales team and with our Back Offices
  • prepare and manage client service reviews, present these to the client together with the Sales Manager
  • be in charge, together with the Sales team, contribute to KYC documentation collection, client knowledge and be an escalation point in case of issues  

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Law
  • A proven international Payments & Cash Management experience, whether in a Treasury Department or in a Bank active in the Cash management business

Language skills:

  • English B2
  • French B2
  • German C2

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong Transaction Banking background (Cash Management, Trade Finance, FX) – able to navigate through a complex global organization and deal with senior management 
  • Understanding of Compliance and KYC processes
  • Understanding of the institution’s approach to risk management and their respective roles in supporting a strong risk culture
  • Ability to work in co-operation with other departments of the bank
  • Proven ability to build and develop relationships with clients – a strong internal network will be critical to succeed
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handling complex situations and "think out of the box’"
  • Attention to details
  • Comfortable working in an environment that is constantly evolving
