Responsibilities

Base Salary Range: $62,000 - $260,000

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.

  • Facilitate and/or lead regular due diligence reviews to monitor FCM depositories for continued satisfaction in accordance with CFTC 1.11(e)(3)(i).
  • Perform due diligence (including RFP/RFI’s where required) to evaluate potential FCM depositories and/or custodians prior to implementation of changes in or onboarding new bank relationships.
  • Manage sourcing process and implementation of changes in bank relationships; bank account opening process for cash; clearing & settlements accounts covering all products.
  • Recommend policies, procedure and controls in support of CFTC 1.11(e) (3) (i) and SEC 15c3-3.
  • Develop and manage a framework to monitor provider service levels and administer score/report cards.
  • Brief Head of Network Management on cost driver analysis and market intelligence.
  • Negotiate legal documentation and coordinate discussions with internal counsel; Operations; Front Office and external partners.
  • Develop and distribute management reporting/KPI’s based on different audiences.
  • Monitor and report on relevant market news; trends and regulatory reform as it pertains to the region and broker dealer industry.   

Profile required

COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge of securities clearing, settlement and custody operations
  • Strong knowledge of the compliance risks associated with an Investment Bank and broker-dealer (FINRA, SEC), and Swap Dealer (CFTC).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively upward/downward and across functions
  • Solid work ethic, high level of motivation and self-starter qualities
  • Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task to produce deliverables in a timely fashion and accurately
  • Strong time management; self planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment while maintaining good judgment and ensuring high quality of output at all time

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word and advanced Microsoft Excel, Power Point
  • RFP/RFI’s
  • Performing due diligence reviews
  • Understanding of relevant legal agreements for custodians, cash/treasury services, tri party and clearing services
  • Understanding  banking resolutions; Power of Attorney and general constitutive documents

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 10 + years of relevant industry experience in Network Management covering Broker/Dealers, FCM, and Investment Banking.

Candidates must have prior experience in the following areas:

  • FRB, FINRA, NFA, CME & CFTC regulations
  • Cash, securities clearing and settlement and custody operations

EDUCATION

Required:

  • BS Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent.

Desired:

  • Finra Series 99
