Description of the Business Line or Department

The Sales person within PCS is responsible for originating, maintaining and growing relationships between clients and SG. The Salesperson is tasked with generating leads with a view to originate new business in accordance with the regional sales strategy as defined by the regional and global head of sales. In addition, as part of the broader team, the Salesperson will ensure the best possible client experience with the aim to defend existing and grow new revenue streams with the client. The role requires detailed understanding of the prospective/existing clients and the capabilities in SG


Summary of the key purposes of the role

  1. Identify new prospects and generate leads in accordance with the PSC strategy. This includes working with other teams in SG to benefit from existing relationships. The sales person will be ultimately responsible to the full process including:
    • Identification of prospects
    • Prospect pitching
    • Business and account structuring
    • Pricing (taking into consideration PSC rules and guidelines)
    • Onboarding
  2. Identify and optimise any new opportunities to commercially grow the client relationship within PSC and the rest of MARK (global markets)
  3. Maintain the best possible relationship with clients this includes organising client entertainment where appropriate and safeguarding the client experiences
  4. Be responsible and accountable for the clients which are allocated. This includes:
    • Responsible for the revenue of the clients in accordance with agreed targets for the client
    • Monitor and control scarce resource consumption
    • Ensure annual credit renewal is performed
    • Ensure KYC renewals are performed
    • Ensure any new regulatory changes are fully implemented
    • Ensure clients remain within the set limits and follow up when necessary
  5. Keep up to date to any new market or internal initiatives. Be regarded as a thought leader amongst peers and clients

Profile required

Summary of responsibilities 

  1. Senior Sales to originate new business

Ownership of the sales process through pitch preparation, client pitching, business and account structuring and pricing for new clients by identifying, analysing, developing and delivering value added prime services. This will be monitored and evaluated in accordance with agreed financial targets.


  1. Commercial sustainability of existing clients

Monitor revenue and costs and ensure all are correctly allocated to clients where appropriate.

Monitor scarce resources consumption and work on solutions with relevant internal teams and the client when required. This will be monitored and evaluated in accordance with agreed targets.


  1. Control

Contribute to all first level of defence actions are done in a timely manner, including:
- Annual KYC for SGIL clients
- Annual Risk renewal
- Limits monitoring and overruns.
