Responsibilities

Description of the Business Line or Department

The Client Lifecycle and Digital (‘CLD’) department is part of the Wholesale Client Technology and Operations division of Global Banking and Investor Solutions (‘GBIS’).  As part of the Global Banking Service Unit (GBSU), it is globally in charge of the client experience across the GBIS activities.

Its mission is to ensure a simple-track and distinctive client journey, both on clients’ and on employees’ side, with a continuous commitment all along our clients’ lifecycle.

The department is particularly in charge of:

  • (CXP) Client Relationship Management for Premium Clients
  • (CFA) Coordinates the onboarding process and facilitates document collection.
  • (KYC) KYC due diligence for both on-boarding and periodic reviews
  • (RRD) Management of client reference & regulatory data
  • (CLT) Client Lifecycle Transformation

CLD has a multi-year global programme: Client Lifecycle Programme (CLiP), which includes several streams.  The objective is to simplify, strengthen and streamline the E2E KYC process.

The KYC process and workflow for both Onboarding and Reviews is extremely manual and inefficient.  As part of CLiP, KYC SG Markets (KSM) is the target technology, and the approach is to digitalize the end-to-end process step by step from initiation through to final approval.  This also includes the upgrade of the three components from the SG Group KTP (KYC Transformation Programme), New KYC Standards, Screening tool and Client risk rating module (FCCR).

In addition to these global programs, key projects have been initiated to address UK topics impacting CLD.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

The Project Manager role will sit within the CLD UK Transformation team (GBSU/CLD/CLT) and be responsible for the following workstreams:

Global workstreams:

  • Deliver/support the Client Lifecycle Transformation Programme (CLiP) - a multi-year global programme comprising of several streams.   The objective is to simplify, strengthen and streamline the E2E KYC process.
  • Represent the UK ensuring that requirements are obtained from CLD, FO and CPLE stakeholders and are communicated back to the central project team in Paris across key streams including Onboarding, Reviews, Document Collection, Approval workflow and Change Management.
  • Upgrade of the three components from the SG Group KTP (Compliance KYC Transformation Programme), New KYC Standards, Screening tool and Client risk rating module (FCCR).

UK workstreams:

  • Specific UK initiatives such as: 
  • UK Financial Crime policy implementation, enhance oversight model given the fact UK clients are managed in all regions, audit recommendations, SGIL legacy systems and processes adaptations and migration to global tools.
  • UK KYC restricted files – implementation of a BAU process.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the CLD Transformation roadmap.
  • Understand the scope, governance and roadmap/key milestones of both the global and UK project streams.
  • Identify and confirm UK and other EMEA regional local country specific requirements.
  • Be accountable for driving strategic projects, coordinating the stakeholders, defining the appropriate methodology and governance and ensure deliveries are made on time and within the budget allocated
  • Assess the best balance between client satisfaction, operational risk, value creation, and timeline to propose adequate solution.
  • Engage management, key stakeholders and SMEs on project deliverables – carefully plan availability in high pressure production environment.
  • Coordinate with the Global Project Team in Paris to ensure that UK implementation is in line and in sync with the global roadmap and strategy
  • Report to management and key stakeholders the progress on the project streams as well as potential issues / decisions needed.
  • Provide visibility to middle-managers and SMEs on program progress and their contribution on various project initiatives. Carefully plan change management.
  • Manage all aspects of Change Management and Training for users
  • Identify areas where end-to-end processes can be streamlined, standardised or automated

Summary of responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to CLD Managers on global and UK workstreams.

Profile required

Competencies 

Required:

  • Project Management/business analyst experience within financial services
  • Good knowledge of the operations business and Front to Back Office process chain
  • Ability to seek resolution and agreement re way forward
  • Experience in structuring and following strategic projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of SGCIB organisation and key points of contact (network)
  • Logical thinker
  • Analytical and systematic mindset
  • Ability to deliver from end to end perspective
  • Excellent stakeholder management including FCU, FO, Local Mgmt etc...
  • Good collaborator, able to take people on the journey
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience, determination and a high level of self-motivation and drive

Desirable:

  • AML/Regulatory/KYC knowledge
  • Data analysis skills i.e. advanced excel, VBA

Knowledge of Databases (SQL, Access) and Data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau)
