Project Manager (Structured Finance)
Responsibilities
ABOUT THE JOB:
Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) delivers day-to-day services to Global Banking & Investor Solutions (GBIS) Business Units and their clients. With IT & Operations teams working side by side under the same leadership, the goal of GBTO is to meet the evolving needs of its clients and market requirements, as well as anticipate technological advances to accelerate and support the transformation of GBIS activities. GBTO is at the very heart of this technological and operational challenge.
This is a transversal role supporting projects that impact the teams in the GBTO/FTB (Financing and Transaction Banking) department. The main mission of the role is to act as Project Manager supporting Technology Implementation projects impacting FTB. These may be Region Specific impacting a Front-to-Back product chain and/or a regional implementation of a Global Project run outside the region.
What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
- Maintain governance on the projects including Working Groups, OPCOS and Steercos, handling meeting schedules, drafting meeting materials and agendas, and ensuring sponsorship is aware of status and alerts.
- Manage full project lifecycle which may include Project Scoping, Requirements Gathering, Development, Testing, Implementation and Post Implementation.
a. Project Scoping – identifying all impacted stakeholders (Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, Legal, etc.), assessing the impact of the project on all upstream and downstream teams and applications, documenting cost and timeline estimates, and working with production and technology teams to schedule the project.
b. Requirements Gathering – running and documenting workshops, drafting, and maintaining requirements documentation, and working with product owner to schedule analysis, AMER Business specificities, estimations, and development.
c. Development – tracking estimates vs actuals, tracking and coordinating development cycles within the various teams.
d. Testing – drafting Test Plans and Test Pack to ensure End-To-End testing is achieved, maintaining daily UAT calls, tracking defects and retests, coordinating testing within and among the impacted teams, ensure the local specificities are tested.
e. Implementation – drafting Implementation Plans, running rehearsal weekends, coordinating implementation schedules across the impacted technology and functional teams.
f. Post-Implementation – drafting post-implementation checkout plans for all impacted technology and functional teams, tracking post-go-live issues, bugs, and defects, tracking all post-implementation checks and maintaining project closeout meetings.
Project Pipeline includes:
a. Global Banking and Advisory/Credit Portfolio Management (GLBA/CPM) tactical or target developments: Support GLBA transformation by adapting IT systems & aligning GTBO organization and processes.
b. Oxygen & US RIA: Setup and support IT platform to support the US Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) in line with the capital-light business strategy.
Products: Loans, Letters of Credit, Asset Backed Products, Loan Trading.

o LoanIQ – Loan Booking System
o Alltra – Letter of Credit Booking System
o Xone Cas Loan –Liquidity and Refinancing System
Profile required
Skills and Qualifications:
Must Have:
- 7-10 Years experience in Investment Banking Operations and/or Technology Experience. Including:
o Trade & Product Lifecycle (Booking, Amendments, Cancellations).
o Accounting Principles (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory).
o Payment Cycles (SWIFT and FED/CHIPS Messaging).
o System Architecture (front-to-back, system interface methods such as XML/API).
- Experience Running a Front-To-Back Technology Implementation Project impacting multiple stakeholders and involving multiple technology systems.
- Experience drafting UAT Plans and Packs and running a multi-phase testing.
- Experience running End-to-End testing including multiple systems and iterations (batch runs, file loads, inputs, extracts, etc.).
- Communication: Proficient in both verbal and written communication, with strengths in meeting management (agenda setting, time management, and drafting minutes). Skilled at engaging a wide range of stakeholders, from team managers and business partners to regulatory bodies and senior leaders.
- Organization: Effective at prioritizing and organizing tasks in complex, fast-paced environments. Capable of setting timelines and delivering on time while guiding diverse stakeholders toward shared goals.
- Time Management: Strong multitasking abilities, with experience developing delivery plans under uncertain conditions and managing stakeholder expectations.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Loans and Letters of Credit.
Languages: French, English
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
