Responsibilities


Overview of business line/support function:

The research analyst role will involve working with Societe Generale's top ranked global index and quant research team based in Hong Kong with colleagues in London, Paris and New York.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring corporate and index events for a variety of local Asian, as well as for MSCI and FTSE index families, working as part of a global team.
  • Monitoring and analyzing the impact of corporate actions such as M&A and other corporate and
  • liquidity events, as well as training to eventually predict review adds and deletes.
  • Understanding such events, index methodologies, as well as being able to monitor and analyze
  • price performance.
  • Supporting the Asia Quant Research function.
  • View to eventually be local point of contact to asset managers and hedge funds in region.

Profile Required


Your Profile:
  • Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree 
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • The candidate should be highly numerate with strong Excel and Word skills.
  • The job will also involve using a variety of data platforms including Bloomberg and Factset.
  • This role is an excellent opportunity for someone to work with both a market leading Index
  • research team and alongside a highly experienced quant team.
  • The candidate needs to be self-starting with a strong attention to detail. Accuracy is also vital in this role and key to the reputation of the product.
  • The candidate will also need to have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight
  • deadlines
