Responsibilities
Base Salary Range: $104,000 - $275,000 per year.
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
Quantitative Specialist (Indexation Trading) (SG Americas Securities, LLC, New York, NY)
Propose improvements to the existing index maintenance process to make the process more reliable and automatic to reduce operational risk. Manage the composition, the risk and valuation of more than 1,500 financial products (commodities indices). Monitor, assess, and implement the extraordinary events impacting the traded indices (Market Disruption Events, External Providers announcements, Extraordinary Market events). Serve as a reliable contact for different teams involved including standing by the traders to understand the daily hedge of the index replication book and communicate on the significant executions and working with sales teams in the U.S., Europe and Asia to create new commodities indices and restructure the existing indices based on the client requests. Collaborate with sales teams globally to answer client requests and enrich index offering including participating in the design of the new commodities indices based on the client requests provided by the sales teams. Design and implement a calculation engine of a portfolio of commodities options and enhance it with dynamic trading rules (delta hedging, variance budget). Design and implement new systematic commodities futures trading strategies to manage the trading book and reduce the market impact of hedges. Check and monitor the execution and the performance of the existing strategies in relation with major market events and the internal risk framework and propose systematic corrections. Ensure that the index platform can rely on powerful and stable index back testing tools by automating the historical market data retrieval and check and utilizing Bloomberg FTP service to build the data requests and process the responses. Participate in the trading book management including rationalize, automate, and document production, monitor risk related to Commodity& Equity index trading book, and price and hedge execution of client orders. Telecommuting may be permitted up to two days per week. When not telecommuting must report to SG Americas Securities, LLC, 245 Park Ave., New York, NY 10167. Salary: $104,000 - $275,000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field plus 3 years of professional experience working on Quantitative Index Strategies products life cycle (including initial design, first implementation, back tests, iterations to meet the client target, documentation of rules and automation of the management of the product). Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience researching and analyzing new systematic risk premia strategies and existing strategies to identify possible enhancements, studying competition, and implementation of designs based on research; 3 years of professional experience using Python, C++, VBA and Excel Macros to develop quantitative models to analyze and forecast execution profitability; 1 year professional experience working with Commodities Quantitative Index Strategies; 1 year professional experience liaising with multiple departments within the U.S. and abroad.
