The VIE will be working with the Region’s Management of the Global Banking & Investor Solutions division. The role consists in supporting each of the Group Chief Region Officer, the CEOs of KSA and Qatar, as well as the Head of the Representative Office of Abu Dhabi across their activities (e.g. strategy development, projects monitoring, transversal business analysis and reporting, client interactions).

The role must be performed in accordance with the compliance rules inherent to the business and the region. It has to be done in compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory rules.

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities :

  • Your primary mission will be to support the Region’s Management of the Global Banking & Investor Solutions division across the spectrum of their activities
  • Gather and analyse performance data across the activities of the platform. Support in preparing memos to Management and to the Risk departments with the relevant financial and profitability analyses
  • Preparing documents supporting client interactions (e.g. briefing memos) used by Société Générale Management
  • You will work on internal or client documents (strategy documents, business plans, client mapping, strategy, internal reports, pitches, proposals)
  • You will assist in gathering, presenting and analyzing research, data and market intelligence across geographies, products and clients/prospects (sovereigns/agencies, corporates, financial institutions and family offices) to support the Management decision-making process
  • You will also liaise with the relevant Business Lines and Société Générale teams around the world, predominantly in Paris and London, when required

Profile required

  • Graduate from Engineering school, Business School or University with a master degree in Finance, Strategy, Economics or other relevant field
  • A background in banking or strategy development (Investment banking, corporate finance, strategy consulting with an experience with banking clients) would be appreciated
  • Analytically focused, structured, detail oriented, problem solver, rigorous and results oriented
  • Adaptability/agility – Management request can be complex to analyze and it is important to be able to generate new ideas and have a high degree of autonomy
  • Ability to work autonomously: the various tasks require an ability to find the information and structure articulated and compelling presentations
  • Interpersonal skills: the position requires securing input from and interacting with many stakeholders in the region and around the globe
  • Very strong presentation skills (PowerPoint) and robust Excel proficiency are required
  • Highly functioning in English with very good writing skills. Arabic would be a plus (but not a must)

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Dubai is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
