Regional Business Development Manager - Timisoara - ALD Automotive

Main responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Commercial Director and Sales Manager to implement the Sales Strategy 

• Establishes together with the Commercial Director and Sales Manager the commercial parameters to be used for tenders where ALD Automotive will participate 

• Proactively finds prospects, visits them and presents ALD Automotive offer 

• Manages all the opportunities in order to sign new contracts with prospects referred by the bank network, dealers, existing customers or other alternative channels

• Acquires new customers in order to increase company fleet size and portfolio through partnership networks, projects and agreements

• Active follow-up of the partners/dealers in order to increase the common sales and to achieve a good penetration rate within their sales

• Proactively visits and animates partners (including the bank branches) from the assigned territory: Timis, Arad, Bihor, Hunedoara, Caras-Severin

• Participates in trainings, business events and presentations with and for the partners

• Follow up the Account Review Meetings schedule and perform the Presentation for each client.

• Meetings and business events are performed with customers and prospects

• Records in CRM all the leads, opportunities, visits, meetings and presentations with prospects/partners on a daily basis and on general sales activity on a weekly basis.

• Spends 80% of the time visiting customers and 20% in the office for administrative work 

• Work together with the other departments of the company to achieve the targets. 

• Follow the evolution of ALD Automotive - Customer relationship and future development until prospect becomes active customer. 

• Continuously monitors competitor’s offers on the market and suggests improvement of ALD Automotive product offer, direct and through the team. 

• Participate in risk analysis/management and contract negotiations with customer by gathering customers info for the credit analysis in accordance with ALD Automotive credit policy 

• Maintain relationship with key prospects by making periodic visits, identifying and exploring needs, and responding to concerns in a timely manner. 

• Negotiate/secure timely customer approval for project scope changes and contract modifications 

• Pay attention to details, be results oriented and able to deliver on stretched deadlines and under high levels of pressure

Knowledge and experience:

• University degree – preferable in the Economy area

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position;

• Upper-intermediate English knowledge; French is a plus 

• B category driving license

• Capability to perform a variety of tasks

• Strong customer orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong negotiating skills, capable of building strong business relationships

• Self-driven, results-oriented and a clear focus on target achievement


Regional Business Development Manager is responsible to develop and grow the fleet and client portfolio, create better awareness for the company and the company’s core services.
