Responsibilities

Société Générale Global Solution Center Poland is a new, growing area of the SG Warsaw Branch, and we are currently looking for a Regulatory Project Coordinator.

Regulatory operations implement all necessary means to ensure the SGCIB regulatory compliance. Dealing with numerous products, new regulatory regulations in Europe and the USA, and changes in our activities within a worldwide perspective, produce impact on our business model, including new reporting obligations. The regulatory projects management has an impact on various stakeholders as: Front Office, Operations Department, Compliance, and the IT team.

Within Global Business Technology & Operations (GBTO) we are responsible for ensuring that SGCIB support functions are compliant with group regulatory policies. Production and coordination of several topics are englobed in the SGCIB responsibilities, such as: Sanctions & Embargoes framework, Single Resolution Board mechanisms, and European Central Bank’s recommendations.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Building an expertise over regulatory requirements and current processes
  • Analyzing new impacts on the business, assessing the technical changes, and translating regulatory guidelines and requirements into impact analyses
  • Implementing new workflows and modifying existing ones to support regulatory compliance and process improvement initiatives
  • Representing Regulatory Operations in cross department meetings, working groups and project operational & steering committees
  • Maintaining high level design documentation detailing the process/data flows, application interfaces and operating procedures
  • Advising and supporting the operational teams for the deployment of the process
  • Proposing, setting up, and monitoring the continuous improvements and optimizations of the processes                                       

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Higher education degree preferably in Market Finance and / or Project management
  • At least 5-10+ years of experience in the banking industry
  • Experience in a project management role 

Language skills:

  • Fluency in English
  • French and/or Polish would be an asset 

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • A good understanding of investment banking regulatory framework
  • A good knowledge of business processes (pre and/or post trade, clearing, Know Your Customer, Middle Office & Back Office operations)
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently without supervision, while being fully in charge of assigned deliverables
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • A proven sense of service and proactivity
  • Good communication skills
