Regulatory Reporting - Analyst

Responsibilities

The Operations Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for ensuring Société Générale  meets its regulatory obligation for key non-financial regulatory reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post Trade Transaction and Position report production and submission
  • Monitoring of Report submission schedule and status
  • Report related Exceptions/IT Issue handling and tracking
  • Regulatory inquiry/notification handling and tracking
  • Report Automation project support
  • Risk Control e.g., maintenance of report production procedures

Profile required

  • Support management strategy and decision
  • Develop professional knowledge in regulatory requirements, processes, and systems for Japanese Reporting
  • Build relationships within the team, with IT, Operations teams, Compliance, Project team, Front Office and other areas of Société Générale.  
  • Investigate and remediate issues and develop control improvements - working closely with the Operational Risk Manager and IT, liaising with upstream parties where required.
  • Identify and propose improvements needs in BAU (business-as-usual) processes e.g., IT automation process enhancements
  • Involve in the longer-term strategic development of the transaction reporting and related systems.
  • Involve in Internal and External Change Management (new business, system change, Market or Regulatory changes) handling which affects the existing process, system reports.  
  • Ensuring you are fully aware of and adhere to Regulatory rules and internal Policies that relate to you, your business or other businesses for which you have any level of responsibility. Responsibility for monitoring, controlling, preparing, and escalating risk within the scope of your position.
  • Ensure you read and understand and comply with the Company’s Conduct and Standards and corresponding regulations.
  • Act with integrity and due skill, care, and diligence in carrying out your duties. Your actions should always be able to satisfy high standards of scrutiny.
