Description of role:

  • The position is at Associate or Vice President level
  • The role targets a candidate that aims to transfer from a business line into Coverage or has done so in the past. 
  • Relationship Manager alongside the Director covering the client portfolio in Sweden and in Finland. Other clients or geographies TBD dependent on the candidate's background
  • The role will operate in a multi-product, international banking environment and requires a strong fit with the culture, values and brand we want to portray towards our clients
  • The role requires a person that is a self-starter and is strong at engaging with, and motivating, business lines to engage as part of the Client Team
  • You are expected to bring value to each client relationship, the commercial agenda and ongoing marketing efforts and take part in, and challenge, the idea generation and commercial agenda for each client

Main Responsibilities:

  • To lead and support marketing and transaction processes, including supervision of marketing materials and presentations
  • In co-operation with business lines, identify, develop and present ideas, offers and solutions to clients
  • Develop a strong understanding of each client's operation, challenges and banking needs
  • Pro-actively follow up with clients and stakeholders
  • Work with the local Coverage Support (VIE) and ensure relevant internal processes (e.g. KYC, Forecasting, Loans etc.) are handled correctly and on time

Profile Required

Prior Experience:

  • At least 2 years working experience from a business line relevant for large international corporate clients. Such business lines may be Global Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, Structured Finance or the International Network.
  • Client exposure in origination of new business or transactions with large corporate clients
  • Understanding of SG's internal credit processes, documentation and organisation

Business Insight

Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, Stockholm Branch was established in late 2017 and today consists of 36 staff focused on Capital Markets Sales activities and Global Banking and Advisory. The branch is located in central Stockholm and we have several nationalities at the office. English is our daily working language. 

The Nordic Global Banking and Advisory team in Stockholm is split into two parts, one covering Financial Institutions and the other one Corporates. The Corporate team is client facing and markets the entire range of Societe Generale's financial products and services to the Nordic Region. We are now looking for a Relationship Manager to reinforce our Corporate team covering the Swedish and Finnish markets.
