Relationship Manager - VP

To build the MNC franchise in India as well as work with the Strategic/ Target local corporates

  • Enhance the current business relationships across products and onboard new clients
  • Cross sell across business lines
  • Manage business related risks (regulatory, reputation, credit, market)
  • Build sectoral expertise
  • The role requires strong marketing, inter-personal & negotiation skills combined with an understanding of financial / credit processes
Main Responsibilities 

  • Achieve the commercial targets set for the respective sector
  • Generate profitability in line with SG Group and region requirements, by working in depth on the client portfolio to find the right balance between B/S and other scarce resources and non-B/S products
  • Monitor and track utilization of facilities
  • Cross sell across all products/ business lines (local as well as international)
  • Client On-boarding
    • Introduce and Onboard MNCs and strategic and target local corporates as per the Bank’s strategy
    • Develop the network business in co-ordination with the global bankers by liaising with relationship managers across countries to onboard new MNC clients in line with overall business strategy
    • Ensure completion of all required KYC and Compliance requirements at the time of on-boarding
    • Liaise with all the relevant departments to ensure that clients are on-boarded in an efficient & timely manner
  • Documentation
    • Work in close proximity with Credit teams to obtain necessary information to facilitate preparation of credit applications
    • Ensure that all documentation formalities are completed within the stipulated deadlines.   
  • Risk management
    • Manage risks in line with the Bank’s policy (Credit, Regulatory, Reputational and Operational)
    • Pro-actively manage the client credit quality
  • Client Contact and Inter-personal relations
    • Negotiate & conclude daily transactions, organize client meetings, plant visits, frequently travel on a regular basis to meet the clients in person
    • Develop & maintain strong inter-personal relationship with the existing / target clients & within the network.

Profile Required

Qualification - C.A./ M.B.A.

Min. 10 years of experience

Skills & Competencies required

  • Specific competencies -- Credit, Risk, Treasury, Corporate finance, all cash & trade products
  • Knowledge of sector for the job profile
  • Knowledge of the local market
  • Experience in handling both local as well as MNC clients
