Resource and Cost Steering Officer

Hong Kong, Hong Kong Permanent contract Corporate and Investment Banking

Responsibilities

1) Budget & Financial Trajectory

  •  Contribute in building GBSU financial trajectory in sync with DFIN/GBS
  •  Build the annual budget and monitor the capacity (Actuals, Forecast & Budget)

2) Staff Monitoring

  •  Collect feedback from GBSU managers on the latest staff movements and update pyramid staff plan accordingly
  •  Monitor the execution of the HC Saving plan
  •  Maintain and update the staff mapping by SMEs, & BU
  •  Further digitalize HC dashboard using Power BI

3) OPEX & External costs control & optimization

  • Participate in or lead initiatives to streamline the invoice payment process
  •  Contribute in building a comprehensive contracts referential integrating sourcing and finance information
  •  Support in automation of purchase request process from procurement to accounting

4) Communication • Manage internal communication within GBSU (monthly newsletter, onboarding program and a series of initiatives identified)

  • Maintain Upskill up to date

5) Administrative and Ad’ hoc tasks management

  •  Support on Controls & Referential tasks
  •  Other ad hoc requests/relevant responsibilities as assigned by the management

Profile required

Serve as key member of the regional GBSU/COO/PIL team supporting dedicated departments in building the financial trajectory, monitoring the resources, managing the capacity and steering the costs by working alongside DFIN & COO/PIL Paris team In charge of GBSU Asia communication, controls and referential. Work together with PIL Asia team in automating our processes & digitalizing our services

Computer Skill

  • • Good ability to manipulate data in Excel
  • • Good ability to prepare presentations using PowerPoint
  • • Knowledge on Power BI


Skills & Competencies

  • • Strong analytical and synthetic skills
  • • Ability to work in a team
  • • Good understanding of CIB business
  • • Good communication skills

2-4 years working experience in financial reporting, report automation and communication
