Sales Assistant in Global Markets (Intern/Trainee)

Responsibilities

As a Sales Assistant, you will:

• Assist the salespersons in their daily business

• Book transactions

• Ensure the back-up of salespersons when they are on business trips

• Coordinate client requests in interaction with the desks of pricing, trading, structuring, legal, Middle office and Back Office

• Maintain the valuation and ensure its publishing on due time (Issue Date) and with correct margin and levels

• Keep updated with rules / regulations and be an active part of the sales analyst community

• Be the safe keeper of the sales dealing rules in close co-ordination with Chief Operating Officer (COO)

• Send push emails as per the strict instruction of the salespersons (always in cc)

Regarding all transactions, you will:

• Respect the internal selling procedures during product implementation (margins, respect of guidelines of the Sales Handbook, regulations…)

• Monitor credit lines in interaction with Risk department

• Book and set up traded products in various systems

• Be responsible for post trade monitoring

For secondary market your will:

• Handle the secondary order Booking

• Ensure the correct functioning of the secondary market of the desk and all connected tasks On-boarding and efficiency

• Launch the KYC(Know Your Clients) process of clients

• Manage and be responsible for the client on-boarding: -

  • KYC/KYD 
  • Master Agreements 
  • Credit lines
  • Monitor and optimize P&L and prepare P&L reporting

Profile required

Requirement:

• University students or less than 1 year of professional work experience after the graduation

• Able to work 5 days per week

• Educational Background in Finance, Business or similar

• Able to work under pressure and deal with exposure to risk

• Result oriented, determined and able to make independent decision

• Familiar with the computer software, including Excel, PowerPoint, coding languages

• Native level Japanese language skill

• Business level English language skill

• Required to pass the Securities Sales Representative Exam level 1 of JSDA (Japan Securities Dealers Associate) before starting sales related activities in the future

Behavioural competences:

• Transparency and concise communication with client, sales team, sales manager, Business Manager Office (BMO), engineer, trading, and support teams

• Capacity to handle pressure, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

• Able to multitask and manage peak workload, be proactive and oriented to help and solve ongoing demands from the team and clients

• Be rigorous and precise
