SGSS has been present in Italy since September 2006 through a dedicated Italian Bank, SGSS S.p.A., one of the main players in the Securities Services' industry that covers all SGSS businesses for its two segments of clients: Financial Institutions & Brokers and Asset Managers & Insurance. Thanks to over 500 employees based in Milan and Turin, SGSS S.p.A. ensures a daily support to over 300 clients. Our clients are institutional investors (insurance companies and pension funds), asset managers, financial intermediaries (brokers, investments companies).


This is a full-time internship lasting 6 months with the desired start date as soon as possible.

It will allow you to develop the following knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge of the Securities Services Providers business and that of its institutional clients (Banks, Asset Managers, Asset Owners)
  • Apply research techniques (data/information/news)
  • Apply Survey questionnaire construction techniques
  • Apply activity planning techniques
  • Apply content construction techniques in the field of external communication
  • Use of sales database management software

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Monitor the commercial activity thus contributing to its better steering by:
    • producing and analyzing key indicators (client meetings, NBI, pipeline), to be afterward circulated to the commercial teams, the Coverage Department management, and SGSS executive management
    • guaranteeing, via regular surveillance and action, data input quality by the sales teams in the Customer Relationship Management tool
    • taking an active part in the annual Sales Plan exercise and its mid-year follow-up
  • Accompany business development:
    • jointly with the sales teams, prepare commercial presentations for strategic client meetings (promote within that context usage of innovative methods)
    • aggregate prospect universe and systematize prospect identification within these universes
    • preparation and updating of Prospect profile sheets in order to support the activities of the Sales people
    • support the coverage team in the preparation of commercial proposal
    • support in steering answers to Request For Proposals

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or economy

Language skills:

  • Italian – C2
  • English – B2
