Responsibilities

ABOUT THE JOB:

Part of the Resources and Digital Transformation Service Unit (RESG), the Global Technology Services (GTS) department supports the IT infrastructure requests at Societe Generale. GTS’ mission is to provide the group’s business divisions with secured infrastructure services. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting business applications, offering cloud solutions, managing connectivity and digital workplace requests all while contributing to the group’s digital transformation efforts.

 The Scheduling Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software and related infrastructure, as well as batch application scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

·         Responsibilities include supporting daily batch processing activities, working with other project related cross function teams and coordinating activities with all technical support teams.

·         Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure

·         Systems administration engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation

·         Installs new / rebuild existing servers and configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements

·         Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups

·         Performs regular security monitoring to identify any possible vulnerabilities, file archival and purge as necessary.

·         Provides Level 3 support per request from various constituencies, Investigates and troubleshoots issues, diagnoses, and recovers from hardware or software failures

·         Coordinates and communicates with impacted constituencies

·         Applies operating system (OS) patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrades administrative tools and utilities

·         Configures / adds new services as necessary

·         Upgrades and configures system software that supports infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs

·         Maintains operational, configuration, or other procedures

·         Performs periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning

·         Performs ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

·         Broadcom Automic UC4 or similar enterprise scheduling tool

·         Knowledge of Autosys, EEM, IXP and WCC

·         JAWS (AAI) and Oracle database experience

·         Proficient in Linux administration and Unix scripting, SQL, Python, PowerShell

·         Good understanding of infrastructure principles and system inter-dependencies outside the job scheduling environment (e.g., networking, databases, storage).

·         Good understanding of SSH, SFTP TCP/IP and network methodologies

·         Proficient in following application processing workflows and troubleshooting for Unix and Windows system platforms, AS400 experience would be beneficial.

·         5+ years of experience

·         Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field

·         Languages: French, English. Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
