Responsibilities

Responsibilities

· In charge of the Financial Statements for 2 legal entities
· Key role in the monthly process of month-end and year-end closing for all 5 entities. (Booking, collaboration, completeness)
· Participate in the day-to-day finance department activities. This includes reconciliations, financial analysis and financial accounting for all Canadian entities;
· Participation in the group performance dashboard or ALCO presentation;
· Supporting role (support, back-up) in the Intra-group reinvoicing for 2 legal entities
· Preparing various monthly analysis for management;
· Preparing regulatory reporting;
· Responsible for preparing and filing sales tax declarations for SG Canada entities;
· Key role with audit queries (Internal & External);
· Assist with accounting projects;
· Assist establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures.
· Supporting role for various request of the CFO.
· Provide support to the VP's and other analysts, review or help them in their tasks when needed

Profile required

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel

Competencies:

  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with aggressive deadlines
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented
  • Must be able to multitask and adapt to a changing work environment
  • Must be a team player

Qualifications:

Experience Needed:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial institutions
