Responsibilities

  • Participate in meetings of projects, Feature Teams and other instances of GTS that concern him,
  • Rely on IAAS and GTS standards and best practices to meet the needs expressed, as part of the GTS strategy. In particular, promote the use of the GTS platform and the opensource strategy,
  • Contribute to the development of technical solutions from the point of view of architecture, in connection with the experts of the departments / poles / field concerned,
  • Write the associated documents according to the needs (design, HLD, LLD, strategic file, etc.) and present them if necessary,
  • Contribute and be proactive in defining and improving standards, architecture patterns and best practices, as well as the IAAS service catalogue in general,
  • Contribute to the development of IAAS' technical strategy in conjunction with other GTS entities,
  • Participate in transformation projects related to GTS issues and in particular the development of the new GTS platform.
  • In particular, regarding his involvement with Feature Teams:

  • Participate in agile rituals that concern him in the field of architecture, including grooming and sprint review,
  • Manage the development, contribute to the drafting of the materials and present them to the Architecture committees (Forum of Architects, Architecture Board, ...),
  • Increase the skills of the members of the Feature Team on the architectural aspects,
  •  Co-construct the high-level  and low-level architecture  of the services supported by the Feature Team (XaaS),
  • Validate and guarantee the technical solution on the infrastructure aspects,
  • Ensure that documents related to the architecture are well written, updated and stored in the appropriate location. Depending on the nature of the document, initiate, contribute or proofread it.

Profile required

  • The IAAS Technical Infrastructure Architect is responsible for defining optimal solutions that meet the needs of GTS projects and its customers, in line with GTS's architecture strategy. He is the "architecture" interlocutor of projects and the referent of the Feature Teams that concern him.

    As such, its main activities are as follows:

  • Participate in meetings of projects, Feature Teams and other instances of GTS that concern him,
  • Rely on IAAS and GTS standards and best practices to meet the needs expressed, as part of the GTS strategy. In particular, promote the use of the GTS platform and the opensource strategy,
  • Contribute to the development of technical solutions from the point of view of architecture, in connection with the experts of the departments / poles / field concerned,

  • In addition, as part of the transformation of GTS, acculturation and ultimately a good knowledge of Agile principles and methods are expected.
    Description of technical/trade skills

    This position requires a very good knowledge of the following areas:

  • Methods for analyzing and developing technical architecture solutions (including urbanization, logical and technical modeling)
  • Infrastructure and cloud computing architecture principles and patterns  (internal, public)
  • Infrastructure and hosting technologies, including cloud, and associated ecosystem
  • Description of behavioural competencies

    In addition to integrating the group's values into its behavior, the following skills are necessary for the technical infrastructure architect :

  • Strong capacity for analysis, synthesis, in a spirit ofnormalization,
  • Good level of writing and modeling,
  • Communication adapted to different types of interlocutors,
  • Good speech and oral presentation skills,
  • Spirit of knowledge sharing and popularization,
  • Sense of service (results orientation) and continuous improvement,
  • Fluent level of English to facilitate business meetings or make presentations.
  • Finally, his position involves taking into account the challenges of GTS and the group, including:

  • Integrate security and resilience constraints, both in the context oftraditional infrastructures and "GTS platform",
  • Obtain the GoProd certification (or regular re-certification)  of GTS for his department,
  • Carry out the mandatory training on time,
  • Respond as soon as possible to audits related to its activity.

  • In addition, he participates in the life of the team of architects and more generally of the department, which corresponds in particular to:

  • Carry out the reporting of its activity through the associated tools and meetings,
  • Ensure the sharing of knowledge on projects, principles, architectures and technologies (presentations, writing documentation, wiki, etc.),
  • Participate in the various team meetings (including international collaborators if necessary), animate them as needed,
  • Collaborate with IAAS architects and participate in the broader architectural community. This sometimes involves representing IAASat different meetings (governance bodies or inter-departmental meetings)
  • In particular, regarding his involvement with Feature Teams:
