Senior Associate – Reconciliation

In the Reconciliation team, an associate should ensure:

  1. Follow up and verification of all operations that impacts the accounts opened with SG’s correspondents, namely, follow up of account balances, verification of complete account statements and identify any missing account statements, rejection of account statements and production support.

  2. Processing of remittance files and accounting entries towards retail branches and special services for internal clients.

  3. Ensure the reconciliation over a perimeter of accounts allocated.

  4. Drafting, monitoring and clearing the unreconciled breaks.

  5. Analyze and process the various messages received from correspondents.

  6. Communicate with various external entities (correspondents and fellow banks) and internal departments via Swift, telephone and e-mails.


  1. Process the daily operations as per the procedures and rules provided by the management.

  2. Participate in the fight against fraud and money laundering.

  3. Contribute to the detection and resolution of incidents.

  4. Inform the Management in case of any difficulties faced during resolving incidents.

  5. Participate in training new joiners.

  6. Participate in the improvement of quality and updating operational procedures regularly.

Profile required

  1. Graduate from a Business School with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Business Administration.

  2. You ideally have a previous experience in the banking or finance industry.

  3. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Level of Autonomy / Competencies :

  1. To be able to work together and in close collaboration with Onshore Back Office Teams. Communicate in an international environment with various internal and external clients. Understanding of trade and payment’s end to end process (Front Office, Back Office and Counterparts).

  2. To be able to multitask.

  3. To escalate on issues when necessary.

  4. Able to meet deadlines.  

Experience Expected :

  1. Knowledge of processing international payments.

  2. 1 - 3 years related experience.
