Responsibilities

Summary of the key purposes of the role:

  • Senior Associate/VP level with knowledge of Securitization products covering UK Clients
  • Provide coverage for ABS, CLO, liquid loans and illiquid structured credit products to investors in the UK 
  • Identify and address client’s needs in terms of investments and/or financing, with a particular focus on Asset Backed Products
  • Provide regular feedback on investor appetite, market conditions and structures to traders, engineering, syndication and management of the ABS platform, enabling optimal distribution of primary and secondary deals
  • Working closely with Trading teams (Structured Credit and Loan Trader) to originate/ execute secondary trades.

Summary of responsibilities 

  • To contribute to the team’s efforts in effectively covering a range of ABS, CLO, leverage loans and illiquid structured loan products in EMEA in line with ABP, GLBA and SG Group’s strategy and priorities
  • Optimize business and revenue opportunities with UK clients
  • Support team effort in ABS (primary and secondary markets), CLO, loans (BSL, MML…) financing, LBO loan trading and other bespoke products (e.g. Reg Cap or NPL deals distribution)
  • Support secondary activity: BWIC, portfolio trade, identify clients axes/appetite/strategy
  • To promote SG as an active and leading player in the ABS market
  • Maintain strong relationships with core clients
  • Introduce other ABP teams (engineering, trading)
  • To deepen knowledge of the clients, markets and products
  • Further understanding of Clients’ investment strategy/policy
  • Provide constant market intelligence to traders, engineering, syndication and management of the ABS platform, enabling optimal sourcing and distribution of primary and secondary deals
  • Help detecting new Clients / new needs / new investments pockets
  • To ensure at all times that SG risk limits, Compliance and operational procedures are understood and followed with rigor
  • Ensure KYC, due diligence processes are performed in time
  • Ensure client fair treatment and high quality of service

Profile required

Competencies

  • Technical:
      • Knowledge of Securitization Products (ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLO)
      • Understanding a Financing product such as Repo, Credit Facilities (MML and BSL), etc..
      • Being able to work on complex structured transactions such as NPLs and Reg Cap Trades
      • Understanding of capital markets, their dynamics and the related instruments
      • Ability to gather an understanding of credit analysis and legal documentation
      • Proven analytical and computer skills (Bloomberg in particular)
      • Strong writing and presentation skills
