Responsibilities

Within the Structured Finance business at Societe Generale, we are seeking a Senior CLO Structuring professional who will be responsible for structuring/modeling/executing new issue CLO securitization transactions, as well as coordinating/supervising the CLO structuring team. Coordinate with managers, investors, lawyers, rating agencies, trustees and accountants to carry out execution process of the transaction, including documentation negotiation, cash-flow modeling, rating agency analytics, marketing and investor analysis.

In addition, the Senior CLO Structurer will be responsible for negotiating, structuring and executing bilateral financing transactions in various formats (credit agreement, repurchase transaction, total return swap) and secured by various types of assets (mostly leveraged loans, but also project finance loans or commercial real estate loans). These transactions will be structured in a way that facilitates their distribution (brining-in a few co-lenders) and/or a potential CLO exit (which implies notably in certain cases to obtain a rating on the financing transaction itself).

Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently uses internal and external tools to model securitization transactions backed by corporate loan exposures.
  • Ensure the coordination/supervision of the CLO structuring team.
  • Master’s the rating agency methodologies and coordinate/negotiate with them as needed.
  • Performs (or delegate performance) collateral analytics and other analyses as needed.
  • Review, negotiate and arrange deal documentation (warehouse / CLO / credit facility)
  • Supervise the preparation of deal marketing materials (presentations, term sheets, etc) for clients.
  • Supervise cashflow scenario analyses for investors (typically conducted by more junior resources)
  • Liaise with internal control groups to secure transaction approvals.
  • Follow the operational implementation and ensure smooth operations by liaising with relevant teams as needed (“results oriented” mindset)
  • Maintain a continuous monitoring of the structure and be ready to answer auditors/inspectors/regulators questions.

Profile required

COMPETENCIES & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Expertise in CLOs and leveraged loans (BSL and/or MML)
  •  Experience with documentation review and negotiation, preparation of marketing materials and cashflow modeling of CLO or other types of securitized products required (familiarity with VBA preferred)
  • Experience with rating agencies methodologies

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years of structuring experience in CLO or other asset backed product securitization transactions at a major financial institution

EDUCATION 

  • Required: Master’s degree

COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE:

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
