Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Support GTS/DIR and GTS Department heads to facilitate business initiatives.
  • Financial and Performance Management
  • Participate in GTS budget construction and ongoing financial review and reporting, manage headcount and trends, time tracking, project performance and reporting.
  • Perform internal finance review and liaise with other accounting and finance groups within the SG group (DFIN)  to promote best practices, harmonization, efficiency, resilience,  cost efficiency and ensure proper capturing and reporting of infrastructure expenses.
  • Meet with SG businesses utilizing GTS Services and ensure that costs are transparent.
  • Collaborate with all aspects of resource groups impacting the business, including Sourcing, Operations, Technology, Security, Accounting, Legal, Compliance, and Risk.
  • Assist with organizing business plans and track requirements in all phases of business development.
  • Work independently to review processes and propose solutions to activities requiring attention.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities related to monitoring and evaluating the process workflow.
  • Perform analyses and recommend solutions.
  • Analyze risk/reward and cost/benefit.
  • Ensure appropriate communication to project sponsor, project team, technology and accounting management, and other stakeholders.

Profile required

Technical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of finance, risks and operational processes
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel-Macros & VBA, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced skills using various tools for management reporting

Desired / Plus:

  • Experience with other programming languages a plus
  • Understanding of financial instruments, risks and operational processes

Competencies:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a global financial organization across various IT products
  • Experience in an enforcement role working in accordance within controls, budgets, and industry guidelines
  • Experience managing projects and leading groups towards specific business plans;
  • Experience representing business initiatives, including technology related improvements and process improvements;
  • Experience in directly interacting with business line managers and all resource-type functions (including Sourcing, Operation, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Accounting)

Qualifications:

Business management, financial planning and analysis, IT allocations and chargeback methodologies, headcount reporting, IT accruals, project management.


 Experience Needed:

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in Finance Institutions

Educational Requirements:         

  • Degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
          Desired / Plus:
  • Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field

Languages: (Other than English) French
