The Senior Financial Analyst/VP position responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of accounting and financial analysis of a broker dealer in the USA.

The Senior Financial Analyst/VP must be comfortable with tasks related to closing books and records of a financial institution, performing financial analysis, constructively challenging stakeholders, and identifying solutions and adding value as an engaged member of the team.

Interaction with offices in US, European and Asia on a regular basis is expected.

Experience in financial services industry with capital markets and investment banking background is preferred with additional direct experience in a tightly controlled and regulated business environment. Knowledge in corporate processes in finance and accounting is a big plus.

General Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify month-end accruals; prepare journal entries for US GAAP and IFRS reporting
  • Perform certain general ledger oversight functions, trend analysis for revenues and expenses, review certain control accounts and identify, investigate, and clear anomalies
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statement footnotes for the broker dealer
  • Assist with the production and distribution of daily balance sheet to senior management
  • Prepare daily foreign currency exposures report to senior management
  • Perform reconciliation of certain general ledger accounts and assist with the monthly account balance certification process
  • Perform permanent supervision controls monthly to meet internal control requirements
    Assist with the preparation of FR-Y15 regulatory report
  • Keep updated procedures
  • Maintain good file structures for storing electronic documents and spreadsheet

Profile required

Technical Skills

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Experience Needed:

  • A minimum of 5years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Experience in Bank or Financial services environment

Power BI, Alteryx
