ABOUT THE JOB

What are you applying to?

The Global Technology Services Department (“GTS”) has worldwide responsibility for supplying Société Générale Group IT Infrastructure Services and Support in the Americas region, including U.S., Canada, and Central and South America. GTS services and supports our Global Banking and Investor Solutions (“GBIS”) business and Société Générale Group business lines with the technology infrastructure services necessary to support their respective business.

GTS is composed of talented professionals who every day translate ideas into action by combining the strength of our expertise in IT with a deep understanding of corporate and investment banking.  Our objective is to deliver a simple, agile, and efficient information system platform in a risk-controlled environment that allows us to grow our business in existing and new markets, launch new products and take advantage of new opportunities when they arise.  GTS is responsible for ensuring the stability and resilience of SG America’s technology infrastructure as well as facilitating entry to new markets, new technologies, compliance with regulatory needs, growth in business volumes, and operational efficiency improvements in our overall front to back processing environment.

What will be your day-to-day?

This individual should be capable of operating independently in high-pressure situations with as strong expertise in Network technologies.

This individual will also be a key member of the HCS global team (Data Center Hosting, Network Connectivity & Security tower), with an expectation to lead and support network projects in the Americas region and be instrumental in defining technical roadmaps across the Americas. 

  • Extensive experience with Network (L3 routing, switching) technologies
  • Strong experience with Data Center network architecture, builds and operations
  • Strong understanding of multicast configurations and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of Wi-Fi technologies and end-user access networking
  • Expertise in STP, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, BGP, VRF, IGMP, PIM, MSDP and PTP protocols

  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure trends and ability to align innovation with business goals.
  • Ability to identify, compare, select, and implement technology solutions.  
  • Proven crisis and incident management abilities
  • Knowledge of Investment Banking, GAFA and FINTECH communities

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of technical network experience
    • Strong knowledge of ITIL - IT Infrastructure management best practices
  • CCNP Enterprise, CCIE preferred
