Senior Project Manager - Financing Tech/Ops

Responsibilities

Base Salary Range: $62,000 - $260,000
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.

  • Maintain governance on the projects including Working Groups, OPCOS and Steercos including maintaining meetings schedules, drafting meeting materials and agendas, and ensuring sponsorship is aware of status and alerts.
  • Manage full project lifecycle which may include Project Scoping, Requirements Gathering, Development, Testing, Implementation and Post Implementation
    • Project Scoping – duties may include identifying all impacted stakeholders (Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, Legal, etc.), assessing the impact of the project on all upstream and downstream teams and applications, documenting cost and timeline estimates, working with production and technology teams to schedule the project
    • Requirements Gathering – duties may include running and documenting workshops, drafting, and maintaining requirements documentation, and working with product owner to schedule analysis, estimations, and development
    • Development – duties may include tracking estimates vs actuals, tracking and coordinating development cycles within the various teams
    • Testing – duties may include drafting Test Plans and Test Pack to ensure End-To-End testing is achieved, maintaining daily UAT calls, tracking defects and retests, coordinating testing withing and among the impacted teams.
    • Implementation – duties may include drafting Implementation Plans, running rehearsal weekends, coordinating implementation schedules across the impacted technology and functional teams
    • Post-Implementation – duties may include drafting post-implementation checkout plans for all impacted technology and functional teams, tracking post-go-live issues, bugs, and defects, tracking all post-implementation checks and maintaining project closeout meetings.
  • Project Pipeline includes:
    • Payments Convergence Project: Migrate the Loan Back Office System from a local Payments Interface to a Global one.  Project will impact Operations, Finance, Cash Management, and the technology teams supporting them. 
    • Trade Finance Back Office System Replacement:  Implement new system and migrate all deals, ensure no degradation of service, ensure any new functionality is effectively implemented.  Manage Change Management of user training, procedure documentation, controls enhancements, and technology support team stand-up.

Profile required

Functional Skills Required:

  • 7-10 Years Investment Banking Operations and/or Technology Experience.  Including:
    • Trade & Product Lifecycle (Booking, Amendments, Cancellations)
    • Accounting Principles (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory)
    • Payment Cycles (including SWIFT and FED/CHIPS Messaging)
    • System Architecture (front-to-back, system interface methods such as XML/API)
  • Experience Running a Front-To-Back Technology Implementation Project impacting multiple stakeholders and involving multiple technology systems
  • Experience drafting UAT Plans and Packs and running a multi-phase testing.  Experience running End-to-End testing including multiple systems and iterations (batch runs, file loads, inputs, extracts, etc.)
  • Experience with Loans and Letters of Credit preferred, but not required

  • Knowledge of another language is a plus
