Senior Public Cloud Architect

Responsibilities

Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $202,000 
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.

The Senior Cloud Architect is in charge of defining and adapting the public/private/hybrid cloud strategy for the Amer region. As such he will:

  • Create the roadmap of services to be developed in GTS Amer to support the transformation of our applications and business to the cloud technologies. This needs to be tightly synchronized with the global cloud roadmap existing in GTS and ITEC (application development groups of GBIS)
  • Develop the governance around cloud technology for the entirety of Amer IT groups
  • Work with ITEC Amer in order to understand their roadmap, propose a migration strategy of their application to the cloud, and adapt the GTS roadmap accordingly
  • Work with legal, compliance and Information Security to ensure adequacy of our roadmap and deliverables to our regulatory and cybersecurity posture
  • Ensure that the various GTS skill teams deliverables are aligned with the agreed upon roadmap
  • Manage the technical relationships with the public cloud providers

In addition, the candidate will be involved in the architectural validation of various projects submitted either by ITEC or by GTS, involving or not cloud technologies

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Required:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure – must have architected and deployed applications at both providers
  • Strong understanding of the specific security challenges posed by cloud technologies, especially public cloud
  • Experience with container technology (e.g. Docker)

Desired:

  • Development/Scripting skills (e.g. Python and/or Powershell)

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Experience as an Enterprise cloud architect in a large scale (global) organization
  • 10/15+ years of experience in IT architecture

EDUCATION

Required:

  • Masters in IT

Desired

  • Architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF)
