Responsibilities

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Global Technology Services organization consists of multiple technical streams that are responsible for defining the technical strategy and vision for their respective discipline. Our vision is to provide leading-edge cost-effective technology services and support based on real-time infrastructure that is shared by our respective business lines, requiring adherence to common standards, policies, and security.

Within the Unix System administration team, you will be joining the technical experts of the Level 3 support team. As part of an agile system team, you will be responsible for supporting the production and leading with your expertise. Together with the scrum master you will work closely with your Product Owner to deliver a stable and efficient and secure Unix IT system. Standards and procedures will have no secrets for you as, together with the team, you will be handling their lifecycle.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

·         Within the Unix systems team, your focus will be to organize the team’s activities by leveraging on the agile system and your scrum master.

·         You will be in charge to implement your vision and bring the infrastructure to the next level.

·         Existing projects such our internal cloud will get you onboarded, and as you grow into the role you will be able to suggest your own.

·         In the process you will get acquainted with our way of managing our 3000 servers’ infrastructure.

·         The daily activities range from organizational to support tasks which makes for a very dynamic and interesting mix. 

·         Our partnership with the business always brings interesting challenges and ideas on the table.

·         If you want to further develop your IT career in the banking sector, this job is for you.

·         In the system team in addition to your day-to-day, you will get the opportunity to learn more about Python, Puppet and ansible.

·         Aside the technical tasks, you will be able to express and develop your leadership. SG offers training and mentoring programs to further develop your skills.

·         We work integrated in global teams: make a difference by handling global topics.

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

1.       Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent job experience

2.       Excellent communication skills

3.       Ability to analyze and understand complex issues Unix OS

4.       Deep knowledge of Unix system administration 

5.       Knowledge of Unix scripting automation

Nice to Have:

1.       Experience in a leadership position

2.       Experience in a Unix Expert position

3.       Experience with Agility

Languages: French, English

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
