Responsibilities

Description of the Business Line or Department

The Vendor Management team provides management and assistance to support the implementation and development of the Outsourcing and Sourcing Policy. Ensuring that the vendor contracts, relationships and performance are developed, managed and controlled effectively and according to regulations. It assists the business with meeting its objectives, minimizing potential business disruption, avoiding deal and delivery failure, and ensuring more sustainable multi-sourcing, while driving the most value from vendors.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

Kleinwort Hambros is looking for an experienced vendor manager to support key vendor management initiatives including:

•            lead the analysis, review and amendment of contracts as part of an internal reorganisation; and

•            support the Head of Vendor Management on regulatory initiatives.

Summary of responsibilities

•            Contract review:

1.           Compile a list of supplier contracts across the business impacted by the reorganisation;

2.           Project manage the contract changes;

3.           Coordinate and support the preparation of the contract amendments/novations with the Legal team;

4.           Manage contract negotiation with suppliers.

5.           Track and report on progress to the project steering committee.

6.           Escalate any issue to the Head of Vendor Management and project steering committee.

•            Regulatory initiatives:

Support the Head of Vendor Management on regulatory changes initiatives by:

1.           Coordinating workshops with Kleinwort Hambros SMEs;

2.           Amended processes and policies;

3.           Supporting the deployment across the business;

4.           Providing training to the business managers; and

5.           Tracking and reporting on progress to the Head of Vendor Management.

Profile required

Competencies

•            At least 10 year experience in vendor management or an experienced project manager with good understanding of contracts

•            Experience of Vendor Management project for Merger/Divestiture/Restructuring

•            Experience with supplier risk management

•            Knowledge of latest financial outsourcing regulations

•            Negotiation skills

•            Project Management skills

•            Problem-solving and analytical ability

•            Strong interpersonal and communication skills, customer service and consensus building

•            Extremely organised, disciplined person and has the ability to work to strict timescales

•            Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint

•            Effective Communication with all levels of staff and managers – Oral, Written and Presentation
