Based in Bangalore, reporting to t  he Manager-Communications Resource Hub within the communication department, Societe Generale Global Solution Centre, the Specialist, Digital communications is responsible for defining and managing the digital ecosystem required to run communication activities CMS management, community management, publishing, tracking and monitoring, advice in digital communication.    

Main responsibilities

The scope of responsibility covers all channels promoting Societe Generale’s image and activities in India, in consideration of the global channels and digital teams, and in coordination with the respective contact(s) of the regional communication team.

  • Identify and deploy channels, technologies and tools relevant for achieving communications objectives

  • Analyse digital data to draw key recommendations around website, social media and internal channels

  • Work with communication leads to manage, develop and coordinate the various channels including web, intranet, collaboration and community building technologies, social media, tools etc.

  • Define and manage the local digital ecosystem, such as website, intranet, internal tools, social media and other tools: define UX, manage CMS, and ensure community management

  • Webmastering: posting of editorial, illustrative and video content

  • Promote, amplify and moderate content on social networks

  • SEO referencing: monitoring of positions, recommendations, optimizations

  • Represent effectiveness of communications and brand with relevant metrics and dashboards from channels

  • Conduct social media audits to ensure best practices are being used

  • Ensure the coordination of the various service providers (web agencies, developers, hosts, graphic designers)

  • Ensuring integrity of brand standards and guidelines on digital channels

  • Controls and risk assessment

  • Digital budget management

  • Working with vendors and partners to understand best practices and digital technologies for various communications requirements

Profile Required


  • Data analysis and website analytics tools
  • Writing and editing
  • SEO and SEM, display advertising
  • Familiarity with tools on social listening, brand monitoring, news tracking, emailing tools
  • Familiarity with collaboration, engagement and other tools
  • Understanding of all social media platforms and technologies
  • Design, photo and video editing
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Sharepoint, other content management systems and tools
  • Comfort level with various technologies
  • Strong relationship and adaptation skills: a team player with ability to work with all levels of staff in all business/support functions
  • Agile, curious and forward-thinking: ability to question and revisit any action
  • Trustworthy and transparent

Years of experience: 7 - 12 years
