Specialist Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure production environments are stable and users requests and incidents in timely manner by team
  • Ensure proper and timely response to clients without escalation from the clients on the service offering
  • Ensure proper operational aspects including monitoring, reporting and backup/recovery
  • Manage and analyze issues or anomalies. Ensure proper root cause analysis.
  • Automate OPS activities
  • Suggest corrective measures for continuous improvement
  • Manage Operational Risk in delivering global services
  • Management Reviews and Reporting (like QOS, SLA, Incident, Problem and Enhancements, etc)
  • Help develop and maintain automated processes, tools and documentation for Production activities
  • Adopt Agile practices to improve time to market and quality of service

Collaborate with global stake holders and to deliver global priorities from time to time

Profile required

Skills:

  • Demonstrate excellent skills in Production Management, Solutioning, Process Improvements
  • Knowledge and experience on Installations, upgrades and maintenance of python applications with automated CI/CD Jenkins and other tools
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like grafana

Our service is based on the following technologies: Python3, Cloud native programming, shell

You may not be an expert of all, but it is mandatory that you have basic knowledge of these and adopt application development best practices like versioning, testing, CI/CD, etc.

Good to Have:

    • Knowledge and experience to work on self-service (XaaS) applications
    • Knowledge on Cloud
    • Knowledge of Configuration management and IaC tools
    • Able to debug, develop and maintain of python applications

Behavioral skills:

You also need to be curious, to discover new technologies, propose innovative solutions.  To understand our users concerns you need to put yourself in the place of our service consumers in order to identify their needs and identify products improvements.
