Responsibilities

As an Windows L3 Team member he/she will be responsible for

  • The person is further responsible for developing procedures and tools that enable distributed plant to scale effectively, by eliminating or parallelizing repetitive operational tasks.
  • The person is tasked with the deployment of all new distributed and storage infrastructure including new data center build outs.
  • Ability to mentorship 
  • Showcase the leadership skills and provide training to various team and upskilling them into development.
  • This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. 
  • This individual ensures that system, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to standards; ensuring maximum productivity for IT staff and users.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively, adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Troubleshoot and root cause production system issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  •  Disk expansion and configuration
  • Incident response.
  • A working knowledge of SAN storage and networking from a Windows perspective. Performance configuration and monitoring.
  • Works extensively with third party vendors in the delivery of ongoing services or major projects.
  • Prepares responses to internal and external audits and/or makes authorized changes to systems as a result of audit findings.
  • Supports the implementation and testing of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity initiatives.
  • Works within the established and documented process for change management to build test and implement approved changes.
  • Works with Senior Windows Administrators and Information Technology (IT) staff in the execution of duties.
  • Provides 24x7 rotating support for the diagnosis and resolution of problems

    Job Description:

    • sound knowledge on Windows server with excellent Troubleshooting skills in a heterogeneous environment
    • Enterprise Level experience in Production Environment (24X7 support exposure)
    • In-depth hardware configuration knowledge

    • Team player, good learner, problem solver, good communication skills
    • Experience with Scripting (Python, powerhell) and process automation.
    • Experience with SAN storage technologies or other storage technologies
    • Experience with at least one scripting language (python, Powershell).
    • Automation of server hardware bring-up, imaging, installation and configuration.
    • Understanding TCP/IP and other network protocols 
    • Windows based security expertise and implementations (firewalls, device hardening, vulnerability scanning/patching).
    • Distributed computing, clustering, virtualization, high availability, load balancing.
    • Experience supporting platforms which use hardware security modules (HSMs).
    • Experience with containers and container orchestration tools and infrastructure (Docker)
    • Good understanding of enterprise level Tools & processes like Change Management, Incident management

     

    Skills/Desired experience:

    • 10+ Years experience in Wintel Administration, supporting L3,
    • Platforms :  Windows 2008/2012/2016 Servers
    • Application/Tools: SCCM, Performance monitoring and debugging tools, Backup, Antivirus, Monitoring clients
    • Good to have knowledge of Scripting (intermediate level)
