Responsibilities

Structured Finance Portfolio Analyst (SG Americas Operational Services, LLC, New York, NY)

Base Salary Range: [$117,499 - $145,000] 
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.

Responsible for portfolio management functions supporting Project Finance and Leveraged Financing business lines; Perform and participate in periodic risk reviews with Risk department (RISQ) and Business Line, quarterly meetings to discuss watchlist analysis with Front Office (FO) and RISQ and prepare Annual Reviews; Monitor and analyze collateral activities to maintain appropriate level of operational risk culture and awareness; Participate in client closing and amendments to facilities; Update collateral valuations; Perform credit applications to analyze amendment and waiver requests received from Borrowers and present to FO and RISQ for SG approval; Perform covenants monitoring and analysis and past due follow up; Maintain departmental procedures for scope and accuracy, identifying controls and implementing changes, and, identify possible control issues or concerns; Apply all Group rules and procedures linked to financial crime risks prevention (KYC, AML, Sanctions and Embargo, Anti-boycott) on a daily basis while processing operations; Perform Agency Functions as a client facing role and coordinating all communication with the members of the syndicate; Participate in other credit risks analysis: monthly and quarterly RWA (Risk weighted asset) analysis and adjustment; Actively participate in maintaining staff requirements, including training, development and back-up processes, including feedback on allocation of accounts; Perform quarterly watch-list and provision reviews and present the same in meetings with the Business Line and the Risk department; Prepare reports and responses to regulators as part of the US Annual Shared National Credit examination; Assist in internal and external audits and examinations of portfolios from a credit risk standpoint; Participate in workout of troubled portfolio credits in close cooperation with the Risk Asset Recovery group; Process amendments, waivers, and consents for assigned transactions, by preparing credit applications with recommendations and obtaining all required internal credit approvals; Follow the risks of the counterparty during the lifetime of the loan (covenant follow up, securities eligibility, collateral valuation, Unlikely To Pay events management, etc); and Responsible for credit monitoring and reporting including Watch List Triggers and Early Warning Indicators. Salary: $117,499 - $145,000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience working at a global financial institution performing financial and credit analysis (including generating annual, semi-annual, and quarterly credit reviews), credit risk monitoring, and management reporting. Must also have the following: 2 years of professional experience processing amendments, waivers, and consent requests for structured financial transactions (including preparation of credit applications and obtaining internal credit approvals); 2 years of professional experience managing closing formalities and process for new project transactions and for facilities; 1 year of professional experience serving as primary point of contact on agented transactions for clients, participating lenders, legal counsel and external advisors on financings.
