Financing and Transaction Banking (GBSU/FTB) is a global organization covering the management of structured finance portfolio transactions.  Within FTB, the Structured Finance Portfolio Management team (SMO) manages transactions/portfolios post-closing for a range of various business lines such as Project Finance, Leveraged Finance, Media & Telecom Finance, Commercial Real Estate, CMBS, Metals & Mining Finance and Aircraft Finance. The group supports the business lines in all aspects of portfolio management, including agency management, credit risk monitoring and reporting, client relationship support, and management reporting.

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:

  • Assist the team responsible for Agency & Operational Management functions supporting the Structured Finance Business Lines (Project Finance, Leveraged Lending, Commercial Real Estate, Aircraft Finance). 
  • MO closing process: handling pre-closing to post-closing activities in cooperation with the front office and the back office ensuring proper administration of the loans. Responsibilities include legal documentation review, data quality controls, review of security package, system inputs for complementary data, rating triggers and collateral valuations..
  • Creation of Debtdomain site when Societe Generale acts as Agent, and posting of information in the deal sites
  • Preparation of periodic reporting for the portfolio per business lines as per local and global requirements.
  • Assist the team responsible for RWA and IFRS 9 ECL analysis
  • Involevement in the quarterly provisioning process in cooperation with RISQ and head office 
  • Work in close collaboration with other internal departments such as the Front Office, Back Office and RISK teams.
  • Assist in internal and external audits and regulatory examinations
  • Prepare reports and responses to management inquiries on the portfolio

Profile required

Profile

Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance
A previous experience in Structured Finance or Banking would be appreciated
Good communication and presentation skills
Proficient/Good command of MS Office
Fluent in English
Ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-focused environment
Team player

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Montréal is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.
