Description of the Business Line or Department

The candidate will join the Global Markets Product Marketing in the UK, part of the Sales Department, within the Global Markets Division of SGCIB. The marketing team works closely with the various sales and engineering teams to drive the growth of our derivatives and structured products franchise and is in charge to deliver key product marketing content for sales.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

We are looking for motivated people with a passion for derivatives and structured products who can lead complex projects and translate the complex into simple, concise messages

  • In charge of marketing our range of cross-asset investment and hedging solutions to Distribution clients (Private Banks, Wealth Managers, Discretionary Fund Managers, Brokers, IFAs, etc) across UK, Ireland, CEEMEA and Scandinavia regions
  • Working alongside sales teams to define the client strategy and full product suite for clients
  • Create marketing literature for investment products to support Societe Generale’s commercial priorities
  • Produce insightful analysis and content for key investment themes to support our range of investment and hedging products
  • Spearheading the bank’s digital initiatives, by pro-actively thinking of new ways to interact and engage with clients
  • Quantitative analysis of product performances using excel as well as development of new tools and macros to automate the product chain
  • Providing sales with market trend analysis and competitive watch to support the commercial effort
  • Generate macro and thematic ideas to support new product pushes
  • Ensuring correct regulatory standards alongside compliance and legal teams
  • Interaction with other business lines of Global Markets to help promote their services to clients

Summary of responsibilities

  • Designing, developing and producing detailed commercial presentations and other marketing materials for distribution to clients
  • Marketing our range of thematic indices via the creation and design of emails, presentations and videos
  • Providing a high-quality service to clients in order to improve their experience and knowledge of our products and services using a variety of media channels: webinars, web pages, videos, newsletters
  • Producing detailed analysis of structured products’ past performances
  • Liaising with pricing and structuring teams in developing the product offer
  • Rationalising the product mix available to clients within the current market environment using SG research, market news, analytical tools and market consensus
  • Keeping up to date with the latest SG research publications for use within marketing presentations
  • Ability to learn quickly and implement new digital tools (video editing, website management, marketing newsletters)
  • Liaising with the compliance department to ensure the marketing materials adhere to the latest local regulations and guidelines. Keeping up to date with regulatory changes
