Responsibilities
Providing legal advice for and ensuring the transaction management of matters in relation to:
- Structured debt issuances on all underlying's including equities, commodities, fixed income and credit (for Asia Pacific - Ex Japan) for SG group and client issuers, including distribution issues in Asia; and
- Structured products listed on the stock exchanges in Asia, mainly Singapore warrants, and the related marketing and distribution issues.
- Asset management activities of SG group and its clients, including documentation relating to the relevant products and activities such as private funds and ETFs.
- Other legal documentation entered into in connection with the above (including product offering documents, distribution and marketing arrangements and contracts with relevant service providers, agents, consultants and the like).
Other tasks:
- Providing pre-trade, execution and post-trade advice on legal and regulatory issues to assist the Front Office representatives, and liaising with other relevant teams or departments of the bank in connection with the above
- Providing innovative, commercially minded legal support to the development of new products, debt issuance and warrant programmers, and asset management activities.
- Participating in the development and implementation of strategic tactical tools, and in particular with automation projects with respect to product documentation and processes.
Profile required
- Approx 5-10 years’ PQE. Private practice experience or previous experience in another financial institution preferred.
- Experience in structured note products, funds and/or derivatives.
- Commonwealth or Asian (Singapore or Hong Kong) qualification preferred
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English. Chinese language skills an advantage.
