Support Engineer

Responsibilities

1.Perform daily monitoring and reporting according to SLA/OLA:

1.

Participate to morning checks to make sure production is up and running.

2.

Perform basic monitoring tasks to ensure software availability.

3.

Perform initial high level investigation and escalate to relevant team.

4.

Ensure timely and accurate status reporting about production.


2.

Manage Major Incident, Incident, Request, Problem management as per production standards

1.

Perform investigation and solve issues in production in liaise with the feature team, when an incident or a

major incident occurs.

2.

Ensure that incidents and requests are properly tracked, followed with regular updates to the teams.

3.

Communicate and share status with the concerned people (chapter manager, fe atu re teams…).

4.

A nticipate and prevent any new occurrence of incident to ensure a good production robustness.


3.

Ensure change management and a smooth transition of services

1.

Participate to capacity planning to manage all events and be aware of upcoming changes and related

impacts.

2.

Perform deployment (if required) and post deployment checks, to verify whether Production is normal.


4.

Contribute to knowledge management

1.

Make sure the documentation related to production is relevant, up to date and shared with all feature

team members.

2.

Provide trainings or information to feature team and to the production chapter.

3.

Contribute to m aintain knowledge of business process/ chain within Tribes and across Tribes.


5.

Collaborate and communicate within Tribes , across Tribes and with Business Users

1.

Participate to supported application training, operation studies … within the Tribe and with Business Users

2.

Contribute to the chapter support’s backlog and the production support league’s backlog of needed.


6.Contribute to improvement areas on production tooling and processes

1.

Identify improvement areas on production processes and contribute to the chapter support’s backlog.

2.

Propose and contribute to develop specific tools regarding production.

3.

Automate production tasks to reduce manual activities .

4.

Minimize the number of user requests thanks to feature enhancements or selfcare improvements .

Profile Required

1.Development background with one major programming language. SQL, Java and shell scripting is a plus

2.Technical skills on infrastructure components (operating systems, databases, network…).

3.Financial knowledge on investment banking domain.

4.Production & ITIL processesknowledge: Request fulfilment, Incident management, Problem Management, Change/Release Management etc.

5.Good communication and synthesis skills
