Responsibilities

Development of the offering of sustainable investment, hedging, and financing solutions for Global Markets Activities

1/ Contribute to the development and creation of new indices (mainly equities) based on ESG criteria; for this you will be expected to propose index methodologies taking into account ESG dimensions and commercial stakes. Also, ensure that all marketing documentation relating to the ESG offer is up to date, and create documentation related to new offers.

2/ Supervise the offer of Positive Impact Finance structured solutions: ensure the security of processes for transactions on the primary market and monitor the products in progress on the secondary market.

3/ Monitor the development of the sustainable market, and monitor regulatory or political developments related to ESG issues.

4/ Participate in Societe Generale's cross-functional projects in the field of sustainable finance (for example: carrying out surveys on the primary markets of sustainable bonds, in coordination between the Global Markets Department and the Debt Capital Markets teams).

5/ Prepare and participate in training and committees bringing together the ESG ambassadors within the sales, financial engineering and trading teams of the Markets Department.

6/ Inform/communicate with the sales teams of the Global Markets Department on our offer and on any other ESG subject useful for their customer relations.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance or Sustainable Finance
• A previous experience in Finance would be appreciated
• Knowledge of Global markets activities & Sustainable Finance
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Management of complex projects
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Fluent in English

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE within the sustainability solutions teams is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
