Systems Analyst - VIE Chicago

Responsibilities

The missions of the VIE in this role are variable, but can include:

  • Code development around Brokerage systems
  • Business Analysis to include requirements gathering and problem solving
  • Testing and analyzing differences from vendor and in-house applications
  • Working on process efficiency efforts both within and around software systems
  • Documentation of existing and new systems and processes
  • Innovation of new or improved processes, systems or tools to make the team more efficient
  • Participate in team and company exercises and functions

Profile Required

The VIE assignment in a nutshell 


This VIE in Chicago is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months. 

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.  


Your profile


Graduate with a Master degree from Business school or University in Computer Science.

A previous experience with automation/configuration management, instrumentation and deployment of code to production

Knowledge of capital markets and/or trading, preferably in the derivatives space is a plus.

You are fluent in English. You are proficient in SQL.

Your have a working understanding of code and scripting in one or more languages of each i.e Python, Shell scripting, Java programming, etc.


Competencies :

  • Exposure to one ore more of these operating environments: UNIX, Windows, iSeries/AS400
  • Helpful to have: knowledge of WebLogic, Tomcat or other web services
