Tax Manager

Responsibilities

  • Perform tax calculation and filling for SG China and all branches, including CIT, VAT, WHT and SD etc.
  • Prepare tax related accounting entries for each period-end closing.
  • Prepare deferred tax calculation for each quarterly closing and perform analysis on tax planning.
  • Prepare working paper of the CIT annual filling schedule and assist senior tax manager in finalizing the CIT annual filling before deadline.
  • Prepare reconciliation on the accounting entries of all kinds of related party transactions, assist senior tax manager on supervising all kinds of related party transactions and preparing and reviewing the TP documentation.
  • Assist senior tax manager in doing tax analysis and communicating with all branches and regional tax.
  • Assist senior tax manager in preparing the tax self-check.
  • Assist senior tax manager in providing tax advice to business line and providing tax comments for new product / new business model.
  • Assist senior tax manager in strategic tax planning of the bank and monitor the changes of its tax position in the future.
  • Deal with tax authorities’ tax inquires/survey and maintain good relationship with tax officials.
  • Keep close eyes and frequently communicate on changes of accounting standard and tax regulations, lead / coordinate related teams to react on the changes which have impact on the Bank.
  • Assist senior tax manager in tax innovation project.
  • Involve in tax related tasks for the cross-team projects.
  • Comply with Code of Conduct as well as other applicable laws and local regulations, internal policies, compliance rules and procedures (including but without limitation to those requirements from the aspects of Anti-money laundering, know your client, anti-fraud, data protection etc.);
  • Take responsibility to report any incidents, suspicious and fraud cases according to bank incident report mechanism/whistle blowing/ escalation requirement immediately. Maintain a high level of personal integrity and uphold the bank's ethical standard both in professional activities and personal conduct.

Profile required

Academic  Background

 (degree and major)

Bachelor’s degree majoring in Accounting, Tax or Finance

Working Experience /

Technical Skills & Know how

5 years or above relevant experience in the field of tax in Big 4 firms, financial industry or an MNC.

Skills & Competencies

  • Solid tax knowledge regarding CIT, VAT, WHT, DT, TP, etc.  Experience in financial / banking industry is a plus
  • Good communication and relationship maintenance skill with the external regulators
  • Quick learner, Meticulous, Result orientated, and able to work under pressure
  • Detailed oriented, hands on and can-do attitude as well as people management skills are expected for this role
  • Ability to think creatively, work efficiently and multi-tasking

Language Skills

Excellent English skill in both in writing and speaking (be able to use English as a working language)

Computer Skill

Strong skills in MS Office. Basic ability of data analysis or programming is a plus

Professional Qualification

 (if applicable)

CPA or CTA qualification is a plus
