Tax Manager (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

In particular, your main tasks will be the following:

  •  You will be included in tax driven projects, namely supporting in

    • setting up a framework for the Tax Governance for the Region Germany 

    • implementing Tax Compliance Management Systems for entities within the Region

  • Improving tax-related processes and translating tax requirements into  procedures and controls

  • Supporting in Tax Declaration-related topics for corporate income taxes and Value Added Tax

  • Assisting in Tax Advisory topics with a focus on:
    - income taxes
    - treatment of various bank services for VAT purposes
    - advising and analyzing transfer pricing issues including its documentation
    - documentation and data research within tax audits
    - assisting in the review of tax returns / tax assessments

  • You will consult various business lines with respect to tax issues of their products and services (e.g. Global Markets, Global Banking and Advisory), e.g. within the NPC, DAC 6 and further transactional processes

  • You will be in contact with other departments of the Bank, German entities and actively participate in an SG internal and industry exchange.


 

Profile Required


Experience and technical skills:






  • Graduate in economics with a focus on accounting and taxation

  • Approximately 2 years of professional experience in a comparable role, with basic experience in the above-mentioned areas and project management experience

  • Knowledge in the Financial Services/ Banking Industry

  • Good analytical skills

  • Good command of MS Office applications und accounting tools (e.g. SAP)

  •   Native in German and fluency in English (written and orally) is required; French would be of advantage




Personal abilities and competencies:

  • Being able to work in a team (also in virtual teams) and to navigate smoothly in a global organization
  • Being pro-active and initiative taking
  • Having good self-and time management skills
  • Interested in Tax and accounting related topics as well as in Banking Industry subjects
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills (written and orally)

A new position has been created for SEGL/FIS following a business increase in SG Frankfurt Branch and a challenging tax environment in Germany. In addition, it is aimed to build up a stronger coordination and governance of various tax matters for the SG entities in Germany.


In the position as tax manager, you will support in a wide range of tax matters (e.g. Corporate Income Tax, VAT, process stabilization) as well as administrative requirements connected with the extended SEGL/FIS mandate in Germany.
