Created on July 1st 2009 within the Corporates Resources and Innovation Divison (RESG), the Global Technology Services (GTS) department supports all the IT infrastructures of Société Générale Group and its subsidiaries (Crédit du Nord, Franfinance, etc.) in France and abroad. Today it represents almost 3500 employees around the world.

 

Its mission? To provide to the Group's businesses lines reliable IT services by providing offers, services levels and optimized costs that meet the needs of their internal clients; such as hosting business applications, workstations, collaborative services, network and telephony.

 

The RESG/GTS/IAS delivers the best value added, cost & time efficient infrastructure platform on Compute, Systems, Storage & Backup and Software Defined Network services. Those services are automated, available through code API and selfservice portals.

 

The department RESG/GTS/IAS/DVF is a development competency center, providing development workforce as well as expertise on development factory, methodologies, and tools. All team members are fully involved in Feature Teams..

 

The department RESG/GTS/IAS/AST : The Architecture, Security &Transformation team is there  to make you safe, to always know the technical direction, to help you steer our transformation & the projects we need.

 

In that context, we are looking for our IAS/DVF and AST manger for the Americas Region. The role will also involve other local management responsabilities.


Main Responsibilities:

 

IAS/DVF and AST  team manager will be accountable to manage the transformation, the security and the development factory of the IAS department for the Americas, with ressources both in Montreal and New Jersey. The Position is part of the IAS Exco.

  • Define optimal solutions according to IAS and client’s needs, in respect of strategy and architecture good practices of GTS,

  • Contribute to the development of IAS technical strategy in relation with the other GTS entities,

  • Help IAS Feature Teams in their agile enrichment

  • Create and maintain a development experts pool, or infrastructure/ IT experts who wish to engage their career path on development expertise.

  • Manage software teams,

  • Promote our development activity, support technological changes and maintain development best practices.

  • Local management of engineer ressources

  • Develop the follow the sun activity in Montreal

Profile Required

Graduated with a master degree, having at least 5 years of experience in infrastructure and 5 years in develoment.You had already managed a team in a high availability environment.

You have a strong technical knowledge with a developement background,

Agile practices is a big plus, and you’re familiar with ITIL methodology (Incident/change/problem management)

 

You have leadership/management skills and have a past experience showing your ability to innovate and transform.

 


Skills required :

  • Development practices, CI/CD experience

  • JIRA , Jenkins, Github knowledge

  • Techincal expertise in at least one infrastructure domain ( Systems, hardware, storage, data base.. )

  • Leadership, people management

  • Ability to push transformation and innovation

  • Team spirit and ability to work in a global organization

  • English and french speaking mandatory
