Responsibilities

Application architecture level:
Define the design patterns to be used
Define the technology choices : inline with standard and/or managed exception process 

Detailed design level:
Define the internal design
Define the Inter-applications connectivity, integration, data exchange formats
Define the development environment (Software Factories/Quality)
Define the non functional requirement (security, audit, performance, availability, …)
Define the deployment and Infrastructure/environment setup (sizing, DR, …)
Define the production setup (deployment, monitoring, …)
Define the global view (when requested)
Define the testing strategy to cover (Unitary tests, Integration tests, Performance tests)

Control/validation activities
1. Perform periodic architecture assessment
2. Define technical roadmap of project
3. Design reviews

Profile required

1. Architecture
• Identify major architecture stakes in the IS Program and reach agreement with key stakeholders such as Account manager/Functional Architect.
• Demonstrate accountability for the architecture topics for engaged IS Transformation programs executed from Bangalore.
• Accountable to ensure that delivery Team follows the defined architecture and transformation Roadmap.
• Responsible for creating the architecture deliverables.
• Act as a voice of the architecture from application standpoint.
2. Technology Consulting 
• Enables the team to implement the target architecture and follow the organization standards and best practices as defined in the blue print.
• Propose and define new standards where ever there is lack of clarity on the technical standards on any technology.
• Plays an important role in program planning and brings the architecture and technical risk to the table much in advance with the mitigation plan.

• Good knowledge of high-level business processes within Investment Banking domain.
• Possesses good understanding of the functional architecture of the IS Transformation program.


2) Business processes transformation: Based on the business understanding and constraints drive innovative ideas, define the opportunity set, and recommend processes transformation and IT solutions for the future state.
