Technical Lead - VM Ware ( NSX )

Responsibilities

Hands on experience on VMware 6.X, 7.X

Experience in P2V, VMotion and VMware virtual center

Good hands-on command line of ESX

Good hands-on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server

Good understanding of HA and DRS environment

Experience in performance tuning of VMware servers and

Managing and troubleshoot of ESXi servers

Administration & Management of Virtual machines, clusters with HA and DRS enabled

Monitoring and configuring capacity issues in VMware env.

Installing and configuring ESXi servers

configuring and storage - VMFS5, VMFS3, NFS, RDM

Configuring and troubleshooting vMotion, Storage vMotion

VC access and authentical control including roles and permission

creating and managing snapshot

creating and managing host profiles and storage profiles

creating and managing Affinity rules

deploying and configuring Update Manager

Configuring and management of Alarms

Creating and deploying OVF, Template and clones

Profile required

Expert Knowledge on VMWare with strong focus towards automation.

Having relevant experience in managing large scale of enterprise env. and should have managed 24/7 Operations.

Sound Understanding of Virtualization technology

Manage large scale of enterprise environment of VMware product deployments.

Hands on experience on VMware 6.X, 7.X

Missions

Monitor, triage & troubleshoot Virtual / Hardware server related incidents.

Install, upgrade, maintain and support VMware infrastructure.

Monitor the Hardware/VMware infrastructure and take proactive actions when needed.

Contribute to document and review standards and operational procedures.

Enforce technical and security standards for Windows infrastructures and services.

Follow internal processes at all time (ITIL, time tracking, escalation).

Work closely with peers worldwide by taking part in periodic meetings and sharing knowledge.

Handle system upgrades and migrations, in accordance with latest technology trends and SG global standards."

Profile

Candidates should have 8+ years of professional experience

Willingness to work in 24x7 as per business requirements

Mandatory knowledge on vSphere 6.X, 7.X,VMWare NSX-T, vSphere replication

understanding of basic physical storage and network concepts

possess good troubleshooting skills on VMware Products

Ability to work independently and work within global team Env

Knowledge of Incident management

Knowledge of Change management

Knowledge of ITIL Framework"
