Your role 

The Department of Finance, office of the Chief Operating Officer owns the lifecycle of America's Department of Finance (DFIN) business management, transformation, regulatory and control activities including strategic planning and program management, budgeting and costs, management routines, regulatory coordination, risk and control activities. We support all the sub-business units for DFIN and report to the Chief Financial Officer of the Americas. 

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities :

Technology Tool Lead:

  • Oversee DFIN COOs Power BI capability; be the go-to person, train colleagues and with time become the Power BI administrator;
  • Create and produce a dashboard specific to the COO team for appropriate C-level reporting (Power Business Intelligence, VBA, Python experience a plus);
  • Streamline existing dashboards in DFIN- produce and enhance reports & dashboards
  • Proactively integrate new technologies for more advanced analytics;
  • Perform analysis to review existing utilization of tools;
  • Re-imagine use of existing tool for greater efficienicy gains (EUCs);
  • Assist in the re-development of a new tool to track governance items (ARCHER); 
  • Assist to automate manual reporting (controls, risk metric reporting);
  • Assist in automating monthly budget cycle process (capex) and create monthly dashboard to track changes in key metrics;
  • Provide technical input and effective data analysis to projects to support the achievement;
    of deliverables to time and budget.

Strategic programs:

  • Assist in the project management of the ESG Americas Program
  • Assist in development of training materials for ESG;
  • Assist in development of DFIN training hub.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Following up with data enhancements and system projects;
  • Assisting the team in internal audit reviews and responding to questions from regulators;
  • Producing monthly and quarterly presentations;
  • Coordinate with internal teams and Paris on change-the-bank initiatives

Profile required

Your profile

  • Degree in business with emphasis on technology, management information systems preferred .
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Transactional SQL and Microsoft Power BI technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Python a plus.
  • Knowledge of or interest in ESG.
  • Excellent fluency in English communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Able to organize work efficiently and to work self-sufficiently.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Be a team player with a self-driven, positive attitude while interacting and supporting fellow team members as needed.
  • Be a critical thinker, ask questions as needed and have a desire to learn more and grow as a professional.
  • Knowledge of financial products (derivatives, equity and fixed income securities, structured products, commercial papers, etc.).

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in New-York is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.
