Within the Global Markets Division (MARK) of Societe Generale, you will join as a VIE in the Delta One team within the Equity Derivatives department (EQD). The desk is a world leader in pricing and structuring products on equity indices. You will be based in Madrid and work with the local traders and you will interact with the rest of the trading team and all the support functions based in Paris or NYC.

The functions of the VIE will be those of a trading analyst. Among other tasks, you will:

- work on mass data analysis models

- study the modeling and implementation of fundamental signals

- help with the automation of the desk

The position offers the opportunity of a firsthand experience of the work of an index trader and to collaborate with different teams within the bank.

A high interest in Python is requested.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

  • Bac+5 Ingénieur Grandes Ecoles or University
  • Market Finance or Modelization applied to Finance  / Coding
  • Strong interest in data science, whether in financial markets or not
  • High skills in Python or similar programming language
  • Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Madrid is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
