Trading Support –FFC Control

Trading Assistant Control: Responsible for controlling trading activities across multiple trading desks across Fixed income, including FX, Rates, Treasury and Credit. The position will be based in Montreal under the hierarchical supervision of the head of FFC Americas.

General Responsibilities Include:

  • Deal Control: enforce controls designed to make sure that executed trades are booked promptly and accurately.
  • Review lifecycle events on Forex, Forex Option and Fixed income activity
  • Review position controls; FO to BO reports
  • Ensure consistency of process with global TSU counterparts.
  • Keep all procedure manuals current and up to date.
  • Respond to requests for Audit and Inspection teams.
  • Responsible for correct static data maintenance.
  • Liaison between Front Office, Back Office, Product Control Group, I-Tech teams globally.
  • Test system upgrades/enhancements.
  • Ad Hoc assisting of the traders and salespersons.
  • Monitoring of the STP processes so that all trades flow to BO systems promptly. 
  • Responsible for certain regulatory checks such as Trace reporting and Reg W controls

Profile required


  • Trade maintenance: monitoring STP flows, resolving breaks, and Quality control of trading.
  • Work with trading and sales to ensure proper booking of trades
  • Liaise with Back Office and other teams to investigate and resolve breaks.
  • Process lifecyle events on Fixed Income activity



Required Product Expertise:


  • Experience supporting Fixed Income or Forex trading desks– Bonds, FX, FX options, and/or
  • Understanding of Interest rate swaps, TRS, CDS and relevant clearing workflows
  • Product exposure should also include thorough understanding of US Treasuries and Bond settlements.
  • Familiar with Regulatory obligations



  • Knowledge of FED, DTC and Euroclear in addition to GSCC netting
  • Knowledge of FX Markets
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong Markitwire knowledge.

  • Ability to handle various ad-hoc requests in a dynamic environment.
  • Prone to take initiatives. Proactive and detail oriented.
